The Tomaree Family History Group was formed in 2000 and is enthusiastically gathering resources and is prepared to share knowledge and assist others with research into genealogy and family history. The group is affiliated with the Royal Australian Historical Society and was incorporated in 2002
Our Objectives are:
To foster an interest in genealogy and family history
To assist members in these pursuits
To provide facilities for research
To cooperate with kindred organisations
We have a resource room in the Port Stephens Council Tomaree Library in the Community Centre at Town Centre Circuit, Salamander Bay, NSW 2317. (UBD reference, Map 42, B15)
We are interested in both family history in the local area, and members interests world wide. Members work on both group and individual projects. The group includes those with long experience of family history research and those who are just beginning.
New members are very welcome. Our yearly fee is $30.00. If you would like to join, click on the link to send an email to Membership Inquiries.
